On the evening of September 24th, we were honored to host a VIP lounge at the 11th Annual Tribeza Style Week Fashion Show. Outside, guests enjoyed the beautiful autumn weather while inside, the best of Austin fashion was showcased on the runway. It was a fabulous evening for all who attended, and a perfect tribute to the evolution of the uniqueness of Austin fashion.
The event was located at the Fair Market, located in the heart of downtown Austin’s historic district on West 5th street. The venue features an airy outside patio with views of the Austin skyline, while inside, the stark industrial space has been reimagined by the famed Matt Fajkus Architecture. Our private outdoor VIP lounge enjoyed delectable nibbles and adult beverages. For dessert, cupcakes embellished with the firm logo were enjoyed by all.
A stunning collection of curated fashion was showcased at the show – and Attorney Janet McCullar, along with 20 of her guests, were lucky enough to get to enjoy it all from the front row. The show was curated by Lights Up! fashion stylist, Sara Oswalt, whose artfully curated stylings were selected from local Austin retail stores.
The Nightowls, Austin’s own modern soul banned, provided the musical backdrop for the evening. On the runway, an eclectic mix of day and eveningwear were showcased, with a focus on dramatic statement pieces. Models donned sassy metallics and bright pops of color alongside classic neutrals. It was a celebration of the unique unexpectedness that keeps Austin weird. Included were daring styles including classic vintage overalls paired with upscale lingerie and outlandish accessories, such as glittery, jewel-toned motorcycle helmets.
Part of the proceeds from the night’s event went to the nonprofit organization Dress for Success. This is an organization that assists disadvantaged women by providing them with the professional attire and career development tools they need to compete in today’s job market. The firm is a staunch supporter of many philanthropic organizations, and the involvement of Dress for Success was a major motivating factor for the law firm’s sponsorship of the event.
Everyone had a wonderful time and are already looking forward to participating next year as well.
